Tina Louise: born Tatiana Josivovna Chernova Blacker, originated the role of Appassionata Von Climax in the Broadway production of Li’l Abner but turned down the movie to play the lascivious Griselda Walden in God’s Little Acre (1958). Winner ‘Most Promising Newcomer 1959’ Golden Globe awards with Linda Cristal and Susan Kohner, the promise led to playing stripper Topaz McQueen in For Those Who Think Young (1964) and movie star castaway Ginger Grant in Gilligan’s Island (TV 1964-67).
