Diana Dors (1931 – 1984) made her first film in 1946, when she was only 15. Blonde, ambiguously baby-faced, and busty, she revealed a natural affinity with the screen. By the early 1950s, she was being touted as Britain’s Marilyn Monroe and had progressed to starring roles. Hollywood beckoned, but she appeared only in a handful of pictures.
