Soledad Miranda (1943 – 1970)

Soledad Miranda aka Susann Korda: European actress and singer, born Soledad Rendón Bueno 9 July 1943, Seville Spain; died 18 August 1970, age 27, Lisbon Portugal; automobile accident.

Miranda began appearing in films from age 17 in 1960, mostly in Spanish films. She had a small part in the Hollywood movie 100 Rifles (1969), set in Mexico but shot in Spain, starring American footballer Jim Brown, Raquel Welch and Burt Reynolds. She then starred in 7 films by sexploitation director Jésus (“Jess”) Franco, 6 of which were released after her death.

Miranda married a former Portuguese racecar driver, José Manuel Simões. When a truck collided with their car, Miranda suffered fatal injuries but her husband and young son survived.
