Janet Munro: English actress born Janet Neilson Horsburgh, 28 September 1934, Blackpool UK; died 6 December 1972, age 38, London UK; alcoholism.

Ambitious Munro began in English repertory theatre as a teenager, appearing in British movies and television, before being “discovered” by Walt Disney in 1959, starring as Katie O’Gill in Darby O’Gill and the Little People (1959).

She took a break from acting 1964 – 1968 to raise her two children with alcoholic and womanising actor Ian Hendry. Her comeback to acting was limited by her alcoholism and one year after divorcing Hendry, she suffered a fatal heart-attack.
