Joan Tabor: American actress born Marilyn Joan Tabor 16 September 1932, Sioux Falls South Dakota; died 18 December 1968, age 36, Beverly Hills California; overdose of influenza medication.
Tabor was a successful model in Chicago before she moved to Hollywood in 1957. She made prolific appearances in film and television until 1964, and then stage productions with second husband, actor Broderick Crawford.
After her divorce from Crawford in 1967, Tabor worked in radio and was attempting to reconcile with first husband Abe Gold, a Chicago businessmen, when she died. Gold told police she had accidentally taken too many influenza medications but Hollywood gossip suggested she committed suicide.
