June McCall: pin-up model and actress on screen 1951 – 1960; born Wilhemina June Palinkas 27 July 1934, Los Angeles USA; died 14 April 1990, 55 years of age, Los Angeles USA; accident.

The daughter of a Hollywood studio technician, McCall began modelling for pin-up magazines as a teenager. She appeared in (mostly incredited) roles in TV and films 1951 – 1960 and in gossip columns for her three marriages, affairs with George Raft, Charles Chaplin Jr. and Mexican playboy Mario Parra, and court cases, until 1969.

Her death from “a freak kitchen accident” was not reported in the press in 1990, however, posthumous apologists describe her as forevever “a good girl” whose naiivete was exploited by Hollywood.
