Sheree Winton was a minor British starlet of the late 1950s and 1960s whose death went unnoticed by the British press in 1976. Her story reached the public when her son Dale, who had discovered his mother’s body, became a leading British TV personality in the 1990s.

Dale Winton committed suicide 18 April 2018 at age 62.

Virginia Maskell (1936 – 1968)

Virginia Maskell: English actress born 27 February 1936, Shepherd’s Bush London UK; died 25 January 1968, age 31, Stoke Mandeville Hospital Aylesbury UK; overdose of barbiturates.

Maskell acted in British TV and films 1957 – 1964. She semi-retired to have children, returning to work for the drama Interlude (1968).

She was hospitalised for a nervous breakdown in July 1967 following the filming of Interlude. In January 1968, she took an overdose of sleeping pills,  fled into a nearby forest where she was found ten hours later, suffering hypothermia, and died in hospital tyhe following day.
