Jackie Loughery, first Miss USA, dies at 93

Jackie Loughery, the first ever Miss USA, died Monday at the age of 93, according to multiple reports including Deadline. Outside of being a beauty queen she also made her way into movies and television shows throughout the 1950s and ’60s.

Loughery played alongside comedy legends Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in “Abbott and Costello: Go to Mars.” One of the duos’ last feature films together. Three years later, she starred alongside Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in their final film, “Pardners.”

Loughery’s final film credit was in 1969 when she appeared on “Marcus Welby M.D.”
